Therapy Services for Anxiety, Trauma, and Self-Compassion
Therapy for Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety is a normal human emotion, but for some, anxiety can be completely overwhelming, preoccupy their thoughts, and disturb their relationships and ability to enjoy events.
Therapy can help you learn ways to calm your body and achieve relaxation, be present in your current moment and engaged in meaningful behaviors, increase awareness of tendencies that keep you stuck, get you doing the things you love without constant anxiety, and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns.
Therapy for Overcoming Trauma
If you have experienced emotional, physical, relational, or sexual trauma, you know how much this impacts your life! This may be changes in self-worth and self-esteem, difficulties trusting others or yourself, an impaired sense of safety, trouble connecting with others, depressed mood, fear and anxiety, and reoccuring memories of distressing events.
Are you wanting to reclaim your life after trauma, increase feelings of safety and connection, and improve your ability to enjoy your current life? Therapy can be a vital piece in the healing process.
Self-Compassion Based Therapy
Have you noticed that you are compassionate, understanding, and kind to others when they suffer, fail, or struggle, but you do not treat yourself the same way when you suffer, fail, or struggle? Do you criticize and judge yourself often? Do you feel overwhelmed by your emotions or discount your feelings? Would you describe yourself as having “low self-esteem.” If so, this may mean you are struggling with self-compassion.
I strongly believe in the power of self-compassion in healing from anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I can help support you with the following concerns:
